Cookie Policy

Effective 31 July 2026. Home Star uses a deliberately small set of cookies and local-storage entries. Here is the complete list.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Local storage is a similar browser feature that keeps settings on your device without sending them to a server. Both help a site remember your choices between visits.

2. What we store

home-star.info stores exactly two entries, both created only after you interact with the site:

  • hs-cookie (local storage) — records whether you accepted or declined the cookie notice, so we don’t show it on every page. Kept until you clear your browser data.
  • Anonymous analytics cookie — set only if you click “Accept” on the cookie banner; helps us count visits to pages in aggregate. Expires after 12 months. If you click “Decline”, no analytics cookie is set and the site works exactly the same.

3. What we never do

We set no advertising cookies, no cross-site trackers, and no third-party marketing pixels. We do not fingerprint devices and we do not share browsing data with casino operators, hotels or ad networks. Reading Home Star leaves no commercial trail.

4. Third-party content

All fonts, images and scripts on this site are served from our own domain. We do not embed third-party widgets that could set their own cookies. External links — for example to official resort booking systems — lead to sites with their own cookie policies, which we encourage you to review.

5. Managing cookies

You can delete or block cookies and local storage at any time in your browser settings: look for “Privacy” or “Site data” in Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge. Deleting the hs-cookie entry simply makes the consent banner appear again on your next visit. Blocking all storage does not break any feature of this site.

6. Changes and contact

If our use of cookies ever changes, this page will be updated with a new effective date before the change takes effect. Questions are welcome at editorial@home-star.info.
